ABOUT ROCKY HARDIE
A builder’s life creates
a different way of seeing.
Inventor, product developer, manufacturing entrepreneur—and a lifelong student of the systems we build around ourselves.
My path has crossed military communications, semiconductor engineering, manufacturing in China, patented audio technology, and the stubborn work of bringing physical products into existence.
Those experiences shaped a conviction: systems matter, but people matter more. I write to examine both—the machinery we construct around ourselves and the inner life that decides what we construct next.
Understand the system.
Build something real.
Pay attention to what happens next.
Technical roots
Military communications and work in the semiconductor industry taught me to connect theory, process, equipment, and responsibility. A good idea still has to work in the world.
Across borders, into production
Living and working in China changed my understanding of manufacturing, supply chains, speed, and relationships. Returning to Texas sharpened my interest in giving entrepreneurs a more practical path to making things.
What I’m working toward
Audio, optics, manufacturing, personal AI, and resilient communities may look like separate subjects. To me, they ask a related question: how can we give people greater capability, choice, and control over their lives?
A publishing home for ideas in motion
This is where I examine technology, human meaning, and the consequences of the systems we inherit. The aim is thoughtful inquiry grounded in evidence, lived experience, and useful action.
